Behavior Clinic
Life's Realities
There are a number of factors in the life of a child or young
adult that can cause stress, anxiety, and unhappiness. Rigorous
academic schedules, peer and social pressures, and family issues
are just a few of the causes of tension that can lead to problematic
behavior.
Such behaviors are distressing to family and friends and disruptive
to a young person's studies, relationships, and life in general.
The HRS Response
At The Human Relations Service (HRS), the Behavior Clinic combines
a breadth of experience in child and family therapy with new diagnostic
and treatment technologies to enrich the resources available locally
to children and their families. Using cognitive-behavioral therapies
and psychopharmacology, the Clinic offers treatment of a variety
of conditions, including:
- behavior management problems
- attentional disorders
- anxiety disorders, such as sleep and eating problems, phobias,
and generalized fear reactions
- anxiety management problems resulting from medical conditions
