The eighth annual Arnold Kerzner Award Dinner to benefit The Human Relations Service (HRS) is May 14, 2013 and will honor two former HRS Presidents, Karen Benjamin of Weston and David Dinwoodey of Wellesley. Both served HRS for many years and each led our Board during exceptionally challenging times in the funding of mental health. Both have been actively involved in a range of town activities, organizations, and boards, in addition to their HRS roles.
The dinner again will take place at the Hunnewell House at Elm Bank of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in Wellesley. It will feature celebrity chefs, fine wines and a silent and live auction. Cocktail reception and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m. Dinner, awards presentation and live auction begin at 7 p.m.
At HRS, we help families and children overcome problems and lead fuller, richer lives. And we help strengthen the well-being of our community. We are its safety net when crisis and tragedy strike. The recent shootings at Newtown, Connecticut, and elsewhere have demonstrated dramatically the need for mental health services of the kind we provide. The money raised at this event helps us serve local children and families regardless of ability to pay. Your past generosity has helped us fulfill this vital mission. We ask you to stand with us again.
